Personalized Support Choosing the Right Retainer
Just like your initial treatment was customized just for you, your retention plan will be too! We offer different types of orthodontic retainers because every smile has unique needs. We’ll walk you through the options, so you feel completely at ease with your choice.
Clear Retainers Discreet and Easy
For most patients, a clear retainer is a perfect, worry-free solution once you finish your braces or treatment using Invisalign aligners. These retainers are thin, transparent trays that fit directly over your teeth, much like an aligner. They are essentially invisible, making them a popular choice for teens and adults who want to keep things discreet.
Simple Care Tip: Just remember to brush your clear retainer gently every time you take it out and before you put it back in!
Hawley Retainers The Dependable Classic
This is the classic, removable retainer most people recognize. The Hawley retainer is made from molded acrylic and metal wires and is designed to effectively hold your smile in its beautiful new position when worn as prescribed. It’s convenient, removable, and a reliable option to maintain your results.
Fixed Retainers for Maximum Security
Sometimes, our orthodontists will recommend a bonded, or fixed, retainer. This option is thoughtfully planned for patients who need maximum security to prevent their teeth from shifting. We cement a small, single metal wire directly behind your front teeth, keeping it inconspicuous.
Fixed retainers are highly effective because they stay in all the time. However, fixed retainers only hold the front 4-6 teeth, so you will always need to use a clear retainer for the rest of your smile too. Just know that keeping the wire clean requires a little extra patience and practice with a floss threader. If your fixed retainer ever feels loose, just give our office a call—we’re here to schedule a repair appointment right away!
Soni & Snipes Orthodontics Reviews
Always love going to my appointments with this team. They are all so precious to me every time I go🩵
Always love the friendly atmosphere; appointments are always on time, and both kids always love seeing Allison for adjustments!!
Treated my daughter wonderful. She loves her smile
I took my daughter in for a consultation and she left with braces! Every single person we interacted with, was absolutely wonderful. My daughter has severe anxiety when it comes to going into doctor offices or anything similar due to her past medical issues. However, Dr. Soni came over several times throughout the process to check in on her and kept reassuring her she was doing good. I love how they listened to my daughter and her concerns with her smile and they focused the treatment on the most important part to her. I would and will recommend this practice to anyone and everyone!! Please don't ever change!!!Update. She got her braces off today and her teeth are absolutely perfect!! We love Dr. Snipes and Dr. Soni! Also shout out to Kaylee, thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to my daughter and family. You are truly a blessing!!
Very cool job they did on taking off my daughter’s braces and super clean place
